CSD München Support Shop (Munich Pride Support Shop)
We now also offer T-shirts, hoodies, gym bags and much more, which you can use to support your Munich Pride and make a statement yourself. The ten designs of the 2020 "Collektion" were created by our graphic designer Frank Zuber, many of them are timeless. "The LGBTI* spirit lives from its visibility", he says. And the best thing about it: In the first few days there is a 15 percent discount on all products! www.shop.spreadshirt.de/csdmuenchensupportshop

Today at 13 o'clock starts our crowdfunding campaign "Dein CSD München braucht Dich" (Your Munich Pride needs you) on Startnext. You can help to make the alternative Pride possible this year and to secure your Pride for the future.
This is how it works: On the Startnext page you see the "Unterstützen" bar (Support bar) on the right. At the top you'll find the field "Freie Unterstützung" (Free support), there you can send us any amount starting from 1 Euro. Or you can choose one of eight thank-you gifts, such as the Solidarity Ribbon 2020 or a chance for a lifetime free entry to the CSD-RathausClubbing (the official Pride Party in Munich's townhall). No matter which option you choose, every euro helps! Thanks for your support! www.startnext.com/csdmuenchen

Munich Pride will take place, but differently and adapted to the corona situation:
We are currently working on an idea for a decentralised demonstration with action spots distributed in the city centre on 11 July, but not all open questions have yet been clarified with the authorities. As soon as a final decision is made, we will inform you.
We will be streaming live on July 11, starting at noon. A moderated, varied programme with live music, videos, interviews and interactive elements. Tune in, we're broadcasting on www.csdmuenchen.de, YouTube, Facebook and Twitch.
PrideWeek will take place as planned from 4 July to 12 July. We are curious to see how creatively Munich's organisations and organizers are dealing with the Corona situation and what exciting events there will be.
However, because of Corona Munich Pride lost important sources of income (e.g. admission fees, stand rent) and is facing great financial difficulties. Therefore, the organisers have planned a crowdfunding campaign on the platform Startnext. On the one hand to be able to cope with the events in 2020 and on the other hand to secure the organisation and infrastructure of Munich Pride for the future. The campaign starts on Wednesday, June 3. Join in and support your Pride! Every Euro counts!

Stay tuned, we are working on the new program, more soon!
15 April 2020
The German government has banned all major events until August 31 2020 in order to stem the spread of the corona virus. Unfortunately, this also affects Munich Pride, which we therefore have to cancel. We will be holding parts of the CSD virtually on July 11/12 2020; a postponement is not planned. We will keep you up to date.

19 March 2020
At present and in the foreseeable future, events of all kinds are prohibited in order to stem the spread of the coronavirus, and public life has largely come to a standstill. Whether and to what extent Munich Pride on July 11/12 2020 will be affected by this, we cannot estimate at the moment. Therefore, our preparations are currently continuing, albeit slowed down by the circumstances.
We are in close contact with the authorities, also with other organizers, especially the CSDs, and are monitoring the situation very closely. Should new findings and resulting decisions for a postponement or cancellation arise, we will inform you immediately.

Munich Pride: July 4 - 12, 2020
Welcome to Munich!
Munich is the city of Oktoberfest, the home of the football club FC Bayern Munich, and of the automobile company BMW as well. But Munich has much more to offer - particularly for gays and lesbians.
The state capital of Bavaria is a liberal metropolis, in which lesbians and gays are a natural part of the society. There are numerous bars, restaurants and shops, but also a wide range of non-commercial groups and associations - there is something for every taste.
In 1997 and 2018 the international gay and lesbian choir festival was celebrated in Munich, and in 2004 the EuroGames took place here for the first time.
Truly unique was Munich's city council from May 1996 till April 2014: The Social Democrats, the Green Party and the gay & lesbian party "Rosa Liste" formed a coalition together. The city council changed in May 2014, but "Rosa Liste" is still a part of the city council.
Munich Pride =
Christopher Street Day (CSD) München
The very first Munich Pride (CSD) took place on June 28, in 1980 and this year we are celebrating the 40th CSD in Munich and expect over 200.000 people to take part!
Since 2000, this huge event has been organized by the four major social and political associations Rosa Liste, Sub, LeTra and Münchner Aids-Hilfe.
Besides fun and festivities, the focus is also very much on the political roots of the CSD. Thus the CSD traditionally begins with the pride parade, which is led by the Mayor, Dieter Reiter, and the Rosa Liste city councillor, Thomas Niederbühl.
Afterwards, the street festival takes place at the Marienplatz, Munich's historic central square. In the evening, the magnificent neo-gothic Munich City Hall opens it's doors and is transformed into an enormous party location for the gay and lesbian community. This is a truly unique experience - worldwide!
