Before the sun rises: LGBTQ* eyewitness accounts of the war in Ukraine
Lesbian-queer center LeZ, Müllerstr. 26
30 stories, 30 fates. The artist Stasya Samar from Odesa has portrayed queer people from southern Ukraine who talk about their experiences of the war. The drawings are accompanied by text and audio reports from those affected. Stasya's art makes communication possible where LGBTIQ*, as a vulnerable group, often prefer to remain silent. In this free workshop with Jana Haskamp from Berlin, we will explore together how internalized discrimination lives in our bodies. We will examine the messages we have received about queer desire and non-heteronormative gender identities over the course of our lives and how these continue to shape us. The GOC celebrates 20 years as the DAV GOC section!
