Queer Action Plan: Join the rally!
Together for an effective "Queer Action Plan"!
We would like to invite you to the rally where we hand over the catalogue of measures and the petition for a "Queer Action Plan". When is it on? On 13 November 2023 from 7 to 8 p.m. in Pilotystraße (opposite the Bavarian State Chancellery).
Bavaria is the last federal state in Germany to set out to develop an action plan for gender and sexual diversity. A Bavarian "Queer Action Plan" would be a real milestone that many have been fighting for over years. However, it is not yet clear how well-founded it will be in terms of content and whether the necessary financial resources will be provided by the State of Bavaria.
Our civil society's catalogue of measures was drawn up at a conference in September by around 70 organisations from all over Bavaria and contains over 120 specific queer policy measures to promote acceptance and equal rights in areas such as education, justice, health and culture. We need this catalogue to form the substantive basis for an effective action plan.
The petition for a state action plan initiated by Sub e.V. in 2022 has now collected almost 16,000 signatures. It supports the catalogue of measures and is to be handed over jointly.
Course of the rally:
- Short welcoming speech
- Presentation of the catalogue's measures
- Handover to representatives of the government
- Possible address by a representative of the government
- Conclusion and opportunity for informal dialogue
We are looking forward to a lively participation and would be delighted if you share this invitation. Together we can be loud in favour of an effective "Queer Action Plan" and appeal to Bavaria's responsibility!
